  3. <hi style=afpcap>Wing swept forward, leading-edge flaps out, landing gear coming up, this "penetrator gray" General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark is heading out on a practice mission. The Air Force's entire F-111 fleet, the future of which is being hotly debated, belongs to the 27th Fighter Wing at Cannon AFB, New Mexico. In June 1994, the wing operated the 428th, 522nd, 523rd and 524th Fighter Squadrons (the 428th is shown) as well as the 429th Electronic Combat Squadron with EF-111 Raven electronic warfare aircraft. The number of squadrons is to be reduced.</hi>
